Learn About Us

Rural Water Access Foundation

Welcome to Rural Water Access Foundation (RUWAF), where we are driven by the belief that access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene is an inherent human right. Our nonprofit organization is committed to catalyzing transformative change in communities across Africa and beyond, by offering sustainable solutions to a range of water-related challenges.

With an unwavering dedication to our cause, we go beyond Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) initiatives. Through our integrated programs, we extend our impact to vital areas such as climate education, gender equality, maternal and child survival program and emergency response to water-related disasters. By addressing these interconnected challenges simultaneously, we empower communities to build resilient futures.

We are driven not only by our passion for water justice, but also by our profound belief in the power of collective action. Through collaborative partnerships, innovative approaches, and community engagement, we strive to create a world where everyone has access to clean water and improved sanitation facilities.

Join us on this transformative journey as we work towards creating sustainable, thriving communities, and a safer future for all.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals living in rural areas by ensuring their access to safe and reliable water sources, promoting proper sanitation practices, and fostering good hygiene behaviors. Through our integrated programs and comprehensive Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) initiatives, we strive to empower communities, enhance their health and well-being, and create a sustainable future.
Our vision is a world where every person, regardless of where they live, has access to clean and safe water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene education, and is empowered to lead a healthy and dignified life. We strive to create sustainable and equitable solutions to the water and sanitation crisis, and to build resilient communities that can cope with the impacts of climate change and natural disasters. Through our work, we aim to promote social justice, gender equality, and human rights, and to inspire individuals and institutions to join us in this vital mission.
